Mixed Scrap Paper Must Be
Free From Contaminants
The value of scrap paper depends on its' being free of all unwanted material. Common trash items such as lunch bags, coffee cups, cans and bottles are considered contaminants, as are lower grades of scrap paper like newspapers, magazines and cardboard which also must be separated from recyclable scrap paper. While these grades are recyclable individually, they become contaminants when mixed with scrap paper. Consult your scrap paper dealer to learn exactly which papers should be collected at your location.
